Our History
In 1984 Blue Pyramid Productions was started by Jay Lang — 88.1 WHOV Hampton, VA's General Manager, and a former air personality on Washington, DC's 96.3 WHUR and Smooth Jazz 105.9 WJZW. At the time, Jay was a prominent radio & television personality (WWBT NBC 12) and Program Director (WPLZ Magic 99FM) in Richmond, Virginia. The company was started as a vehicle for clients to acquire professional voice-overs & customized commercial production. After a number of successful years, artist management, music production, television production, copywriting, MC services, booking, entertainment consulting & songwriting were added.
Along with our core services, we presently provide the finest in concert promotion & consulting on a regional & worldwide level, plus entertainment & concert production for non-profits, local companies, businesses and major medical organizations raising funding for research to find cures for debilitating, fatal and incurable diseases.
